Digital Display Went Out....Twice

We moved in this house with brand new appliances in 2016. The digital display went out in the first year and it was still covered under the warranty. The digital display was repaired, but about a month ago, it went dim again. Last time we buy a Frigidaire product.

I rarely write reviews, but this is my second review of the Frigidaire Professional line of products. We bought the Frigidaire Professional line of appliances for our new build 2 years ago. The first review was in reference to the double oven. The oven has been absolutely terrible, burns everything in the back center regardless of temperature or whether convection is used - even had a tech come out while still in warranty to tell me that is how it was designed...what?!? I wrote a review of that some time ago because it's been an awful experience and burns everything. Now, our microwave display has gone out completely! Its always been annoyingly dim, but now it's non existent! The microwave still works, but we can't really use any settings, we have to cook everything on high and set a timer to use the microwave...ridiculous! Ugh!

Purchased this product in 2016 with new house. With lite use, display went totally blank after 2 years. Frigidaire only warrants their products for 1 YEAR no matter what line of microwave your purchased (Professional Series, Gallery Series). With only a 1 year warranty period, they know they can't guarantee the quality of their products past then. Which is usually the case, based on the number of people who had this same defect. You've been warned! Buy at your on risk. Looks pretty / poor quality. Of course your can always purchase an extended warranty, but unknowing or potentially new Frigidaire customers didn't/won't know a replace or repair will be needed after 1-2 year, typically when the warranty is set to expire. Received absolutely no assistance from Frigidaire (no extended - no assistance period).

I purchased several Frigidaire products when I had my house built. The model FPMO209RF microwave had a slightly dim display when it was installed but over a year and a half the display slowly went dim to where it is now not usable anymore. I searched the internet and saw that this is a common problem with a lot of complaints. I was advised by an appliance repair tech to buy another unit and throw the original away as the cost is to much for labor and parts. I contacted Frigidaire to explain the issue and was only told that my appliances was out of warranty and they could do nothing. This product should be more durable. I would not advise anyone to purchase this product or any Frigidaire product as the quality may be lacking. If you do purchase their products get an extended warranty.

Display got dimmed after 1.5 years

I am in Canada. Model CPMO209RFA . After only 1.5 years, the display got so dim that it is not usable anymore. I searched the internet and see it is a common problem with a lot o complaints. The product has nice design and fair price but I hate to purchase electrical item for only 1.5 years. It needs to be more durable
